I have my trademark’s name, now what?

Once you decided what your trademark’s name is, it is important to determine what products or services you are interested in. The Nice classification mentions 45 classes in which a trademark can be registered. Do I have to register my trademark in more than one class? It depends on what products or services you want to commercialize.

For example, if your trademark is for clothing, but you will also commercialize a parfum with it, that means you must register it in both classes. And, don’t forget the services class, meaning selling the product.

If you are just starting with the clothing trademark and parfums is a future thing, you can wait to proceed. The important thing is that you have applied for it by the time you start using it.

Within the next few weeks, we will explain in more detail the whole proceeding and how to determine in which classes you must file your trademarks.
