3 tips to legally protect yourself if you are a therapist working as a coach

You do not have to be a therapist to get a license as a coach, but, what if you are one and you want to offer your services as a coach as well? Keep reading and you will learn you how to avoid legal issues.

Being a therapist and being a coach is not the same, therefore, your service should be apart.

1) You should have different websites for each of your services, and even two different business entities.

2) Make sure the legal protection of your website is very clear. Each website should be in alignment with the services you provide. And, do not forget about the disclaimer!

3) As a therapist people know exactly what you expect from you, but as a coach, it is a business, not related to medicine, so since you are not working in the medical field, your clients (not your patients) must sign a Coaching client agreement in which you state what they should expect from you and vice versa.
