How to protect your trademarks on social media?

Nowadays, most entrepreneurs not only offer their products and/or services on their own and exclusive websites, but also on as many social platforms as possible. So, how do we make sure that our trademarks will be protected? And, most important, what can we do if someone is using it?

Each social media has their specific terms and conditions and legal disclaimer. When creating your account, you must accept them, so you may want to re-read them and be sure of what you are saying yes to.

If you realize that someone is using your trademark or a similar one, you can report infringement violations to the platform, which will ultimately remove content that is clearly in violation, before providing the user with your contact information and details of your report.
