As an entrepreneur you will work with different kind of people, some you will know, some will be referrals, or brand-new clients. In order to avoid any issued with all of them, having a Client Agreement is essential so they can know how the two of you are going to be working, the services you will provide, fees involved, hours, payment, etc. You want your work relationship with the client to be as clear and transparent as possible.
Some people think having an agreement, just any kind of agreement is overrated and just a simple template or trusting the person will be enough. Truth is, it is definitely NOT. Templates will not work because you want YOUR agreement to cover all areas of YOUR business, and it is different from your friend, your neighbor or that sweet girl on Facebook who just sent something she found online. You want YOUR contract to work for you and not against you, and this is why it needs to be drafted by an attorney.
