I have a trademark. Do I get international protection?

No, trademark registrations are territorial. This means that they grant protection in a specific country or region (for example, European Union). There is no international registration that protects all countries in the world.

When someone wants to expand business, he will start widening the trademark’s protection per country or region, having market studies done prior to that in order to be sure that they will succeed with the trademark.
