Differences between a business name and a trademark

To begin with, we would like to point out that they could be the same thing or they could be completely different. To clarify:

– A business name is the legal name of your business. This can be your name or something else. It is the name of your legal entity.

– A trademark, is a word, phrase, or symbol that identifies the goods or services you provide, so consumers identify you.

One business can have several trademarks, for different products, services, courses, all depending on their line of work.

Can I register a trademark for my business name?

Yes, whether it is your full name or a difference one you definitely should file an application to get exclusive rights on it.
